For 10 years, MB2 Dental has brought dental professionals together to provide care to communities in Jamaica. This year’s mission marked an important milestone, bringing together dentists, hygienists, and team members for another opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

SurgiMac was proud to support MB2 Dental’s 10th annual dental mission as a sponsor, helping contribute to an effort focused on expanding access to essential dental care.

The mission took place at The Good Shepherd Foundation’s Hope Clinic in Montego Bay, where 17 dentists and five dental hygienists volunteered their time and expertise over two days. Together, the team provided care to 410 patients and completed 545 procedures, including 173 fillings, 203 extractions, and 169 cleanings.

Making an Impact Through Dental Care

For the volunteers on the ground, the mission was about much more than the number of procedures completed.

Patients arrived seeking care, relief from dental pain, and treatment that may otherwise have been delayed or difficult to access. Each appointment represented an opportunity for dental professionals to use their skills to improve someone's health and quality of life.

The mission also demonstrated the power of collaboration. Dentists and hygienists worked together across different specialties and responsibilities, stepping in wherever they were needed to care for as many patients as possible. After a decade of returning to Jamaica, that spirit of teamwork has become an important part of the mission's lasting impact.
