Its self-limiting etch formula creates an ideal etch pattern with an average depth of 1.9 µm from a 15-second etch, allowing for maximum adhesive penetration for increased bond strength. Studies show the EtchPro etchant’s unique self-limiting formula creates an optimal dentin surface to receive resin. While EtchPro is viscous, it easily penetrates into vertical surfaces and occlusal fissures due to increased capillary action from its unique chemical and physical properties. Its ideal viscosity prevents premature drying during procedures.
