The 9/10 Schluger Periodontal File is a specialized, double-ended (DE) surgical instrument designed for controlled interproximal bone reduction in periodontal and restorative procedures, such as crown lengthening.
This file features curved working ends specifically shaped to access and reduce bone height in confined spaces, particularly in areas where traditional rotary instruments (like crown lengthening burs) cannot safely fit, such as between upper molars. The design includes two cutting sides and a flat, non-cutting side that protects the adjacent tooth surface from damage during use. Crafted from surgical-grade stainless steel with a comfortable 10mm hollow handle, the file is completely sterilizable and manipulated using slow, gradual push-pull (in-and-out) motions to safely reduce interproximal bone peaks.
