The 3/7 Hirschfeld File Scaler is a specialized, double-ended (DE) instrument featuring Buccal/Lingual angulations designed for targeted calculus removal and root planning in periodontal therapy. Despite being listed for interproximal bone reduction, its primary use is tackling gross calculus removal in challenging areas such as: Deep, narrow periodontal pockets where standard curettes cannot reach. Lingual/Palatal surfaces of anterior and posterior teeth. Root concavities (e.g., mandibular molars). The instrument is crafted from surgical stainless steel with a 10mm hollow handle for comfortable grip and is completely sterilizable. It is used with a vertical, coronal pull stroke and is often followed up with a curette for final smoothing.
