Designed for surgeon acceptance, the Change-A-Blade safety scalpel handle provides the same weight, feel, line of vision and ability to puncture as a traditional scalpel handle. The Change-A-Blade handle helps meet the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standard and the AORN guidelines for the use of sharps with engineered sharps injury protections.
The Change-A-Blade scalpel handle features a built-in safety sheath that covers the scalpel blade during passing to protect healthcare workers from sharps injuries. The safety sheath retracts completely out of the way when the scalpel is in use, providing the same line of vision and ability to puncture as a traditional scalpel handle.
